This website is published under the authority of the Directorate-General of Antiquities and Museums and the Ministry of Tourism of the Syrian Arab Republic. The Citadel of Aleppo is a protected monument and part of the Ancient City of Aleppo, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1986.
